IEM celebrated the Veer Bhogya Vasundhara event to esteem individuals who have dedicated themselves for serving our nation. The guest of the event was Shri Raj Kamal who was the 2nd in Command (Communications) BSF, South Bengal Frontier, Shri Dip Das, Assistant Commissioner of Police (South Bidhannagar), and Shri Aniruddha Chatterjee ,inspector in Charge, Electronic Complex Police Station. Their participation exemplifies the unity and collective spirit that continues to define our nation. Their commitment to our security and well-being is a testament to the values that we hold dear. On 18th August 2023, IEM felicitated the guest for their contribution to the Nation. On that evening all members of IEM along with students gathered in Satya Sai Auditorium at 4 PM. After the felicitation of the guest, a small cultural program was organized by students of IEM and made the event a grand success.

A technical talk was organized by CSE-CSI student chapter on 25.07.2023 in online mode in the evening where students of different streams attended and interacted with the speaker. The speaker of this talk, Mr. Arijit Nandi, Senior Software Engineer of Maerskhas over 10+ years of industry experience. He shared his insight with the students about web technology and webdevelopment. The speaker highlighted on how javascript, HTML, CSS and various other scripting languages are used. Mr. Nandi also talked about smart home and the usage of AR-VR in daily life. A total of 218participants joined the online talk and made it a very successful event

ISHRAE Kolkata chapter organized an industry visit for the Mechanical students of IEM. On 5th August students visited TEMPCON which is a manufacturing company and they gathered a huge knowledge from this visit.

Students from EE & EEE have participated in an internship program on PLC, SCADA conducted by MSME organized by IET Kolkata. Students have gathered a huge knowledge on this burning topic of industry.

The Mechanical Department of IEM conducted the IEI IEM (Mechanical Engineering Division) CWC Installation on the 2nd of August, 2023, from 4:10 pm, at the CII Autidorium. Prof. (Dr.) Amit Roy Chowdhury of IIEST Shibpur grace our event and enlighten us on Biomedical Applications for 3-D Printing. Our very own Director sir's presence made the event all the more glorious. Thanks To all faculty members and staff members for their contributions to making this event a grand success.

On 3rd August 2023 IEM Mechanical Department organized an Alumni Interaction session. Agniprabha Roy, Alumni ( 2020 batch) Associate Strategy analyst, Oracle, interacted with 3rd year ME student. He interacted with the students and encourage them for their future.

On 18th July Innerwheel Club of IEM planted and distributed saplings to the members of the Club and the school students. Excitement ran abuzz as the students stood around with the saplings in their hands. It was a moment of joy for everyone and we were feeling very proud to nurture little minds, to take care of nature in their own small way.

On Wednesday, 26.7.2023 Innerwheel Club of IEM, organized a special session on "Mental Health & Wellness" for the BBA 1st year students of IEM. It was an interactive session with the students. Our honorable guest was Ms. Sarala Totla, an experienced psychological counsellor and psychotherapist.

ASME IEM CWC Installation & Tech Seminar - "Mechanical Engineering: A World of Possibilities in Industry 4.0" turned out to be a resounding success! The event, held at the CII Auditorium, was filled with enthusiastic students, distinguished guests, and remarkable performances. We were honored to have esteemed personalities like Commodore PR Hari and Professor SK Pal grace us with their wisdom and insights through their lightning speeches. Their speeches left the audience captivated and inspired, shedding light on the advancements and possibilities in the world of mechanical engineering. The event witnessed the investiture of the new Chapter Working Committee (CWC) by Commodore PR Hari, who has always been an exemplar of leadership and dedication. With the new CWC members, we look forward to further advancing the mission of ASME IEM Student Section. Our hearts were mesmerized by the enthralling performances of the dancers and musicians who showcased their talent and artistry. Their captivating performances added a touch of elegance and creativity to the event, reflecting the seamless harmony between engineering and art. It was an absolute privilege to have DIG Subroto Ghosh among us, gracing the event with his esteemed presence. His support and encouragement have been invaluable, and we are truly grateful for his participation. Overall, the event was a grand success, filled with knowledge sharing, inspiration, and celebration. The enthusiastic participation of the students, the guidance of our esteemed guests, and the dedication of the organizing team made this event truly special. Special thanks to Our Director Sir, Principal sir, HOD sir (mechanical department and basic science department), Gunjan sir, Joydip sir, Kaustav Sir, Rahul sir and all the faculty members of Mechanical and BSH department for continuous support.
