Romit Bhaumik, a BTech student in the Electronics and Communication Engineering Department at Institute of Engineering & Management, Kolkata got admission at IISc., Bangalore for admission in Mtech, Robotics & Autonomous Systems. Such a proud moment for IEM.

A faculty development program on AI in Electronics has organised to enhance the knowledge and skill of faculty members in the field of AI and in the field of Electronics.it also focus on the exploring the potential application of AI various aspect of electronics such as circut design,signal processing,control system and embedded system.

IEM in association with UEM has organized a national seminar on Artificial intelligence on 7th July 2023 in the CII auditorium at the IEM Management house campus. The Main Aim of the event was to discuss Artificial Intelligence whether it is a boon or a curse. Along with this event an exhibition on AI Models / Products was organized where the participants came from all over Kolkata. Some participants demonstrated the new model of AI which will help us in today’s life. The inauguration program started at 11 AM with the introductory speech of Prof. Satyajit Chakraborti, president of the IEM UEM group. The whole program was conducted by Prof. Dr. Sanghamitra Poddar. Then Keynote speech was given by Mr. Sabyasachi Das who is the former CEO of L&T Edutech. He discussed with the students about AI, how AI helps us in daily life, and also its future aspects. The next guest of Honour was Prof. (Dr.) Pabitra Mitra , Professor, CSE, IIT Kharagpur, has discussed with the students about their research in AI products. He is also interested to make a research center in collaboration with IEM and IIT Kharagpur to generate new products in AI. After that, a panel discussion was made where dignitaries came from different industries. In this discussion, they answered the question which has asked by Prof. (Dr.) Biswajoy Chatterjee, VC, UEM.

Prof. Ayan Kr. Panja, Asst. HOD,AIML and CSBS Dept.IEM is taking an introductory session on Internet of things in the study abroad program for Engineering students at National University of Singapore (NUS).

An inter-department futsal tournament was organized at the IEM Management campus under the supervision of Dawn Sir. The winner’s team was the CSE department and the runners-up team was the BCA department.

The Inauguration program of B.Tech. 1st year 2023 batch was held at the 7th-floor auditorium of IEM Management House on 3rd July 2023.President Sir as well as Director Sir of IEM Along with all HODs and Dean and other faculty member of IEM was present at this program.

Institute of Engineering & Management has organized its first Annual Convocation for the batch 2023. On 28th June 2023, the event was organized in the CII Auditorium of the IEM Management campus. All the professors along with the final year students were present at the event. The whole program was organized under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Debika Bhattercharje, Controller of Examiner. of IEM.A well day spent by all.
