Vision of the Department
To establish as a national leader in sustainable development, where innovation, education, and responsible practices create a model green campus that inspires future engineers, managers, and communities to address global environmental challenges.
Mission of the Department
- ✓ To educate students to be leaders in sustainable development
- ✓ To develop new technologies and knowledge to improve engineering practices related to sustainability
- ✓ To create a culture that prioritizes environmental, climatic, and social concerns
- ✓ To create a new generation of leaders with the knowledge and passion to pursue sustainability opportunities
Goals of the Office of Sustainability
Sustainable Campus Developments & Resource Management
- Integration of renewable energy sources, EV adoption, and IGBC standards
- Waste management through recycling, composting, biogas, and efficient water use
- Emission assessment, carbon footprint evaluation, and NetZero campus initiatives
Strategic Planning & Policy Development
- Develop and implement sustainability policies across the university
- Regular energy and environmental audits to reduce carbon footprint
Curriculum Integration & Research Outcomes
- Integrate sustainability and climate action across all departments
- Transform campus spaces into living labs for student projects
- Facilitate research in sustainable development and environmental impact
Community Partnerships, Collaborations & Outreach
