International Yoga Day (IYD) is an annual celebration observed on June 21st, dedicated to promoting the ancient practice of yoga and its numerous benefits for physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. This global event brings together individuals from diverse backgrounds to participate in mass yoga sessions, workshops, and awareness programs, fostering unity, harmony, and holistic living. Institute Of Engineering & Management in association with the Ministry Of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH), IEM Inner Wheel, Club And Vivekananda Kendra celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st June 2023 in CII Auditorium, on Management House. An instructor from AYUSH has come and demonstrated the YOGA steps to the faculty members. An outstanding evening was spent by all of us.

Department of Basic Science and Humanities has organised the inter-section Wall Magazine competition on 11-12th May on the topic of Environment and sustainability" on the ground floor of IEM Management House. B.Tech 1st year students participated in this competition with great enthusiasm by showcasing their passion, creativity, drawing skills, and obviously their concern about the environment. The magazines were judged by Prof. Molly De Raychaudhury of West Bengal State University. After a tough competition, Sec D came out to be the winner and Sec J grabs the 2nd position whereas Sec E received the HOD's choice Award. The best magazines are displayed on the Display board placed on the ground floor of Management House. All family members are cordially invited to visit and view the magazine.

Basanta Utsav or Holi also known as the Festival of Love, is one of the most popular and significant festivals in India. On 22nd March 2023, IEM celebrated Basant Utsav along with students and all faculty members. Students from different departments have participated in the department and made it a grand success.

An award ceremony is an event at which someone is given an award for their achievements. This could be for their work in a particular field, their sports performance, or any other area where they have excelled. The award ceremony is a way of recognizing and celebrating someone’s achievements, and it is usually a very special event for the person receiving the award. Like every year this year also IEM has organized an Award Ceremony on 28th April at Gurukul Campus. Students from different departments have been given the award. Prof Dr. Satyajit Chakrabarti along with HOD from different departments have given the award to students.

Life perishes with time but Art only flourishes. The creation of a Poet or an Artist becomes an inspiration in the journey of our life. Tagore’s compositions are such which have been able to transgress the boundaries of time and become our greatest companions in our mirth and desolation. The more we explore, the more we are enriched. The Institute of Engineering & Management took a beautiful initiative to celebrate the 162th Birth Anniversary of Tagore on 11th May 2023. The beautiful program was organized under the supervision of Prof. Gauri Majumder where the professors from IEM along with students from various departments participated in this cultural program. The program started at 9 AM with a chorus song. Then Prof Dr. Satyajit Chakrabarti honoured Tagore. Then one by one participated in the event and gave tribute to the Tagore. At the end of the program, some refreshments were arranged for all.

This year Institute of Engineering & Management organized a farewell party on 28th April in Satya Sai Auditorium, Gurukul Campus. All 4th year B. Tech Students along with final-year MBA and M.Tech Students gathered in this program. The farewell party was organized by the 3rd year and 2nd year students under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sanghamitra Poddar. They had beautifully decorated the auditorium. On the stage, there was our honourable Principal and other faculty members. The cultural program started with Welcome speeches by the Principal. They performed other programs like the song, dance, and recitation. At the end, 4th-year students were awarded mementos. Actually, we believe that Things end, but memories last forever!

Technical Poster Presentation and Model Building are organised by IEM, BCA & M.Sc(CS) Department, an initiative by Coding Club of BCA department on 8th May 2023.

A hands-on 3D printing programme for the 1st year students was organized by the 3D Printing Lab on May 05, 2023. The participants got acquainted with 3D modeling and usage of 3D printers during this programme. The organizers would like to thank President Sir and Director Sir for their continuous encouragement, Prof. P.K. Das (HOD, BSH) and Prof. D. De (HOD, ME) for providing the facilities, and the senior ME students for their support.

IEM and UEM organized the very successful International Conference On “Interdisciplinary Research in Technology & Management” held on 20th-22nd April 2023 at IIT, Delhi, India with Chief Guest Dr. Akhilesh Gupta, Secretary- SERB, DST, Govt. of India.
