An interactive session was organised by IEEE CASS society on 3rd February, 2022.Prof. Atin Mukherjee, from  NIT Rourkella delivered a lecture on 'OPTIMIZATION AND VERIFICATION TECHNIQUES FOR MODERN VLSI CIRCUITS'.All the faculty members & students from ECE department  joined in the session.  

Institute of Engineering & Management, Kolkata organised the IEM Rank Award Ceremony on 18th February, 2022, from 12:30 PM at the Gurukul campus, Sector-V in physical mode, where over 300 students were awarded certificates for their academic excellence in their semester examinations. Students from both Engineering and Management branches gathered to be a part of this happy ceremony.

Augmented Reality Virtual Reality in gaming tech has emerged as an intangible resource for innovative minds in the past few years. Department of Information Technology in association with Entrepreneurship Cell of Institute of Engineering and Management organized an interactive session with Mr. Arijit Bhattacharya on 9th February, 2022 from 3 PM onwards in online mode. Mr. Arijit Bhattacharya, is a Serial Entrepreneur (Since 1998), Technologist, Angel Investor, Public Speaker (Since 2008), Business Matchmaking Expert, Government Advisor, Artist, Author, Community Builder (Since 2010), Game Programmer (Since 1998 from legacy to latest game engines), Virtual Reality Specialist (Since 2006 with VRML to C# using game engines), AI Evangelist (Since 2002), Blockchain Specialist (Since 2018 mainly in fintech, crypto and health tech) & Globe Trotter (Over 90+ countries business network). He has two decades of experience in Finance & Technology. Arijit is a technologist, artist, comics story writer and superhero creator with a rare combination of finance and digital banking. He is also an international Record Holder In Technology & Finance.  He has visited 40+ Countries. He has also helped several villages to become sustainable and become self-dependent. 142 students attended this session followed by a question answer session.

An exciting football match between the  IEM faculty member took place in Maya Chakraborty Smriti Krigangan on 5th March 2022.The match was full of excitement and curiosities.six team participated in this tournament. Final match was held between Gurukul Gaints & UEM Eagles.Both the teams tried their best to win.Both the  teams were equally strong and showed their excellent skill and performance.At the end of the event, the chief guest delivered a speech signifying the importance of arranging tournaments in the college.    

Students are to identify emerging Social issues and propose an AI ML-based scientific solution of the identified problem through an innovative poster presentation. This event is being held to highlight the value of scientific innovation in addressing social challenges. It will assist us in informing everybody about developing scientific solutions. An extensive faculty development program was held at the Institute Of Engineering and Management from 15th December to 21st December 2021, organized by the Department of Information Technology and Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with Human Resource Development Cell. The current pandemic scenario has increased the need of using the open-source software for effective learning of different technical subjects in online mode.  The program was held for seven days, after the class hours from 4:15PM to 5:30 PM. The coordinators for this program were Prof. Subhabrata Sengupta (Department of Information Technology) and Prof. Sumanta Chakraborty (Department of Computer Science and Engineering) The program was held at Seminar Hall 3 of the Gurukul Campus, IEM. First Day: On 15th December 2021, Paramita Mitra and Prof. Subindu Saha (Department of Information Technology) delivered a talk and demonstrated the details on Logism software.   Second Day: On 16th December 2021, Prof. Kajari Sur (Department of Information Technology) delivered a talk on LT Spice software, along with the live demonstration of the same. Third Day: Detailed analysis and demonstrations on Weka: Machine learning tool (Department of Computer Science and Engineering) were delivered by Prof. Anupam Mondal and Prof. Sainik Kumar Mahato on 17th December, 2021. Fourth Day and Fifth Day: A well informative talk followed by demonstration was delivered by Prof. Amit Kumar Das (Department of Computer Science and Engineering) on R: Machine learning tool for two consecutive days. 

IEM Entrepreneurship Cell in association with Dept. of IT and CSE (IoT CSBT) organized a seminar on- Journey of A Kolkata based startup from college campus to funding in Shark Tank" on 17th February,2022 from 7PM with Mr. Shamik Gupta. Mr. Shamik Gupta is an alumnus of Institute of Engineering and Management and Co-founder and CEO of Altor Smart Helmets. Altor is a smart mobility company that attempts to prevent and detect accidents on the road. Currently, it offers India's first range of smart headgears with behavior-modification & accident detection capabilities among others. It recently got featured in the prestigious show Shark Tank India, that aired across Sony Entertainment Television Network over the past few weeks There were 325 participants and the session was a highly interactive one.  The seminar motivated the participants, who dream of becoming entrepreneurs in the near future. The Chair of this session was Prof. Dr. Moutushi Singh and the session coordinator was Prof. Avijit Bose.  

Saraswati puja occasion was held in IEM all campus

A Table Tennis Tournament was organized on 11th February 2022 at Management House. Faculty members of IEM participated in the Tournament.
