Project Description: The obstacle avoiding automatic car, after the power supply is connected and switched on, starts moving forward until it detects an object in front of it, when it stops. It checks the distance to it's right and left. Whichever is greater, it turns towards that direction and starts moving forward again. It repeats these steps until it completely moves out of the obstacle course. Project Utility: It helps to navigate through unknown environment without collisions. We can add Bluetooth modules and camera so that the user can see the detected obstacle from some other place. It can also be implemented in vehicles to help prevent road accidents which could save lives of many people. Project Description: Light Tracking Robot. It uses LDR which detects flash and the robot moves towards the flashlight. It can also be programmed to detect fire. Project Utility: Light tracking robot is a mobile robot which detects the light and follows the light on the travelling path. It can also be programmed to detect fire. This technology can be used to measure light intensity for applications that require greater precision. ProjectDescription: It is an Arduino based stick which uses ultrasonic sensors to warn a blind person of upcoming obstacles, it has GPS and GSM modules incorporated for emergency message calling and has water sensor to detect water. The IEM Quizzard Club's First Annual Quiz Fest, Quizzophrenia '22, was a success in every sense of the word.We had over 300 participants from all over India, with students from acclaimed IITs and IIMs, as well as Corporate Quizzers who have shown their mettle on the national stage.The three external QMs did their work extremely well, and the audience was amazing.The OTT quiz had the most individual participation at 150 students, with the India Quiz having over a 100 as well. All in all, every audience seemed to enjoy our brand of quizzing, and seemed sure to come back for more. Team member would Like to thanks Malay Gangopadhyay & Sanghamitra Poddar & Director Sir.

Institute of Engineering &Management(IEM) presented the 31st editionof the Annual Cultural Fest,IEMPACT2k22 ’on the 12th and 13th of March. The special guest invited were the magnificent duo, ‘ TaalpatarShepai ‘, the creative partnership of musicians, Pritam Dasand Suman Ghosh. The events included: Futsal Beatboxing Quizzard Bollywood/Western Music Eastern Music College band Step up Eastern Dance Food festival

Participants: Students, Faculties of IEM, Kolkata and other institutes. IEEE IEM WIE STUDENT BRANCH AFFINITY GROUP in association with Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of IEM Kolkata has organized a seminar on “A programmatic Approach to Antenna design and analysis” on 29th March, 2022 at 4 PM onwards. The seminar was addressed by the speaker is Dr. Sandip Ghosal, Senior software developer, MathWorks. More than 30 students and Faculty members of IEM, Kolkata and other Institutes have participated in that event and make the program very successful. The seminar motivated the participants, who dream of becoming a successful engineer in the future. The session coordinators were Prof Ratna Chakrabarty, Dr. Manas Midya

Brief Details: More than 30-35 students have participated in the event on 31 st March, 2022 and make the program very successful. The whole session was interactive. Such interactive skill also enhances the interest of the students for participating such kind of technical events for upcoming days. The quiz program was coordinated by Prof. Indranil Maity and Prof. Sutanu Ghosh. It mainly focuses on the technical topics which have been studied by the students in earlier semesters.    

Name of the activity: Exploit Your Mind To Your Benefits Organizing unit: IEM, Kolkata &Art of Living Venue: Auditorium, GURUKUL CAMPUS , IEM COLLEGE MORE.   Year of the activity: 2021-2022 Participants: 200 students Objective of the talk: To make the students & faculty members aware about the importance of yoga in their daily life & explain to them the significance of meditation in daily life. Details of the talk:The lecture was delivered by Mr.Avinash Tiku on 30th March ,2022 during 3.00 pm to 4.15 pm in Science Auditorium in IEM.The talk was  held by IEM and Art of Living. Avinash Tiku, program director of Youth Affairs at The Art of Living, is a Kashmiri pandit, born in early eighties in Kashmir, a first-hand victim of genocide and exodus who chose the path of love & spirituality over hatred and guns.Over past two decades he has personally trained lakhs of youths in yoga, meditation, and mind management not only in India but also in the US and Europe.  AvinashTiku is a Youth Icon and Purpose coach. He has successfully brought transformation among hard core criminals by teaching them yoga, meditation and by kindling in them a feeling of love for themselves and humanity as a whole. Mr. Tiku described all, how to meditate & inspire and motivate students.200 students of second year have enthusiastically & actively participated in the talk.And more than 20 faculty members  have attended this talk.Students were  inspired & motivated for successful career & future life. All the participants enjoyed the session very much.
