Date- 24th August, 2023 Venue- CII Auditorium, IEM Kolkata, Salt Lake Campus Time- 4.30 pm Institute of Engineering and Management in association with ELTAI Kolkata chapter hosted an extempore event candidates chose from an array of engaging topics and presented their world views, in their own words in a time-bound frame. This event brought out their linguistic flair and penchant for world affairs. Winner and candidates of merit were given medals and trophy.

Date- 23rd August, 2023 Venue- CII Auditorium, IEM Kolkata, Salt Lake Campus Time- 5.30 pm Institute of Engineering and Management in association with ELTAI Kolkata chapter hosted a vibrant poetry writing event honors poetry and inspires creativity. Candidates can choose from many intriguing and different themes. Timed draughts will stimulate and expedite poetic works. Creative, original, and relevance to subjects will be used to evaluate the poetry. Exceptional poets will receive medals and prizes and have their works published in BSH wall magazine.

Date- 23rd August, 2023 Venue- CII Auditorium, IEM Kolkata, Salt Lake Campus Time- 4.30 pm Wordsmith’s Quest- A literary adventure Institute of Engineering & Management in association with ELTAI Kolkata chapter hosted an immersive and engaging story writing event that celebrates storytelling and inspires creativity. Participants chose from a variety of engaging and different subjects. Story draughts will be timed, bringing excitement and pressure to the creative process. Stories were judged on creativity, originality, writing style, and topicality. Winners receive certificates and prizes. Their stories will appear in BSH wall magazine.

IEEE CCWC 2024 was organized from 8th January 2024 to 10th January 2024 at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, USA. The conference aims to bring together scholars from different disciplinary backgrounds to emphasize the dissemination of ongoing research in the fields of Computing and Communication. Prof. Charles Rubenstein, IEEE, USA and Treasurer of the Conference gave the Inaugural Address and then Prof. Dr. Rajashree Paul, Technical Co-chair welcomed the participants to the conference and shared her view regarding the Conference. After the technical session was started.

The Research & Case Wing (The Centre of Excellence of Research & Cases) of the Department of Management of Institute of Engineering and Management & University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata organized preliminary round of the National Case Writing Competition 2024 in association with The Case Centre, UK & ICRC-AIMA, India on February 19, 2024 for 1st year MBA students. 56 groups, comprising of 6 members in each participated in the competition. The best 16 cases will be chosen and they will present their cases on 1st March 2024 in the presence of eminent industry expert and academicians. Some glimpses of today’s event:

The Department of Basic Science and Humanities, IEM Salt Lake Campus has organised a Workshop on "Entrepreneural Journey: A life skill" at IEM Management House. Dr. R. Sujatha, Senior Educator, National Entrepreneurship Network: Wadhwani Global Foundation has taken the sessions.

We are delighted to extend our heartfelt invitation to all womens for the Celebrating Womanhood Awards Ceremony 2024, a celebration of exceptional achievements and contributions by women, organized by the Institute of Engineering and Management, Kolkata, under the University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata. The event is held in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), IEEE WIE and the Internal Complaint Committee (ICC), Kolkata Nivedita Sakti and Telegraph.

To express appreciation for the efforts of our students IEM has organized a Rank ceremony award on 22nd February 2024 from 4.30 pm in the IEM Gurukul Campus. Students who have scored well in the semester have felicitated in this event.

IEM has received the best Engineering college in Eastern India by Times Power Icon Award from Times of India.
