On 8th March, 2024 Institute of Engineering and Management, a constituent institution under the University of Engineering and Management in association with Kolkata Nivedita Shakti and IEEE Women in Engineering (IEEE WIE) and IEM Innerwheel club commemorated the exceptional feats of women hailing from varied backgrounds and domains of expertise as they celebrated the International Women's Day. The atmosphere was charged with excitement and empowerment as women celebrities took center stage sharing their stories of triumph and accomplishments. With each heartfelt speech and candid revelation, they shattered stereotypes and showcased the breadth of women's achievements across various domains which were meticulously selected and the awards named after historically famous women from Bengal. The award names not only increased the prestige of the awards but also created an awareness among the current generation about the rich heritage of the glorious women from Bengal who not only paved the path of development in the state but were globally recognised for their achievements in their respective fields. Mechanical Engineering Department in collaboration with IEMHRDC have successfully completed the 5 days faculty development program on "Design and optimization of engineering problems using computational tools" from 5th to 11th March.

NCIIPC in collaboration with AICTE is conducting India’s first national level VAPT exercise opening up the opportunity for all technical colleges and universities in India to participate in a challenge specially designed to resemble and mimic the real world CII entities. The objective of this challenge is to create a talented pool of ethical hackers/pen testers for finding vulnerabilities in the systems of critical information infrastructure. In an era where technology plays an increasingly pivotal role in all aspects of life, access to computers and digital literacy has become more important than ever. The IEM Outreach Program for donating computers to The Institute of Little Stars stand as a beacon of hope, aiming to bridge the digital divide by providing computers and educational resources to those in need. The primary goal of this outreach program was to provide under-served communities with access to computers, empowering individuals with the tools they need to thrive in the digital age.

IEM Inter-College football Tournament Imperio organised by Institute of Engineering and Management for the first time. It was a thrilling event that showcased the best of college-level football talent. Held on 3rd March 2024, the tournament brought together 12 college teams creating an atmosphere of excitement and competition. The tournament matches were played at the Kulberia Maya Chakrabarti Prangan with each team displaying remarkable skills and sportsmanship. The finalist teams were IEM and SNU.

We would like to inform all that our President Sir Prof. Dr. Satyajit Chakraboarti has taken the great initiative to felicitate the winners of Asian Games 22 from West Bengal with a cash prize of Rs 1lakh for their immense contribution in the field of sports and made India proud.
