EUREKA 24
Entrepreneurship Cell IEM Kolkata presents “EUREKA'24”, in association with Innovación 2K24, NASSCOM Startups, Velocity Accelerator, Socnto, Kolkata Ventures, Drivers4Me, FreeFlow and IEEE Computer Society. This is a platform for budding entrepreneurs to pitch their business ideas before our highly experienced judges, Startup Mentors and Venture Capitalists, and stand a chance to get a productive evaluation as well as funding for their venture.
For more than a decade “EUREKA” has been the most thriving event for the Pitchers. More than 25 startups got funding and mentoring through professional Venture Capital network. Our participants got the best of the guided experience and learning opportunities.

IEM group have launched a private cloud infrastructure at IEDC Lab
IEM-UEM has become one of the first Private Universities in eastern India to launch a private cloud infrastructure at the IEDC(CSE), Godrej Genesis, with 840+ physical cores, 880 GB RAM and 9TB storage for distributed applications. We had an enriching keynote talk by Prof. Rajkumar Buyya, University of Melbourne, and an enriching panel discussion of eminent figures from the Industry on IoT, AI, and Cloud Computing. IEDC(CSE) lab will also house the 5G Lab for educating our students in 5G core services and simulations. This event has marked a big step in the history of IEM and UEM which will take our students to the next level that will separate them from their peers.

Wordsmith’s Quest- A literary adventure
Institute of Engineering and Management in association with ELTAI Kolkata chapter hosted an immersive and engaging story writing event that celebrates storytelling and inspires creativity. Participants chose from a variety of engaging and different subjects. Story draughts will be timed, bringing excitement and pressure to the creative process. Stories were judged on creativity, originality, writing style, and topicality. Winners receive certificates and prizes. Their stories will appear in BSH wall magazine.

Institute of Engineering and Management in association with ELTAI Kolkata chapter, hosted a multilingual extempore fest that featured participants ranging from student as well as faculty speaking in diverse Indian and international languages. German, Assamese, Japanese, Garo, Korean, Nagamese, Nepalese, Punjabi, Bhojpuri, Russian along with Hindi, English and Bengali were some of the languages spoken.

Time- 4.30pm
This event was enriched by participants with a series of their self-written poetry in various languages on themes they hold close to their heart. Varying from success to patriotism to family, they scripted poignant lines depicting vivid emotions. 1st, 2nd and 3rd places were given trophies while the remaining five finalists were given medals.
