The Business Analytics Club of IEM BBA successfully presented a 2-day workshop on the "Fundamentals of Advanced Excel" on August 26th and 27th, 2024, starting at 4:15 pm at the IEM Ashram Campus. The workshop aimed to provide participants with a strong foundation in Advanced Excel operations. Over the two days, topics such as Sort/Filter, Pivot Table, VLOOKUP, Logical Functions, and Data Representation were thoroughly covered. Historic MOU for collaboration signed between IEM -UEM and AMI. The US based company American Megatrends International will be opening its second office in India (after Chennai) in Kolkata inside IEM's IT park.

The alumni talk series of AY 2024-2025 organized by the Department of CSE and CSE (AI) held on August 19, 2024. Our guest for the occasion was Distinguished Alumnus Mr. Parichay Bhattacharjee, Senior Manager, at Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) . Parichay is an alumnus of the CSE Department from the 2013 pass-out batch. The topic for the talk was – “Roles and Responsibilities of young professionals” . He shared his experiences and journey with the students and participants with emphasis on the skill sets an engineer must have. The presentation was insightful and informative, centered around the following topics: the importance of quick learning, why students should be flexible as an engineer and adapt to changes and the significance of internship.

Department of Electrical Engineering (NBA Accredated), Institute of Engineering & Management, Kolkata, arranged an International Olympiad on Circuit Theory 2024 (IOCT 2024) on August 18, 2024 (7.00 PM to 9.00 PM IST). This event welcomed participants from all around the world to compete in an intellectually stimulating environment. The IOCT 2024 was also thrilled to have Codechef as their online Olympiad partner, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for all participants.
