The Geller Cup, a 'FRIENDS' themed event, was organized on 10-08-2024 at the CII Auditorium, Management House, by the IEEE Computer Society IEM Student Branch Chapter. The event was planned with quizzes, treasure hunts, and some other fun events. Around 100 students from both IEM Kolkata and UEM Kolkata participated in the event. Students were thrilled to participate in engaging and informative activities like quizzes on general knowledge, history, films, and other fun events.

The Department of Electrical Engineering has opened one student branch chapter under the IEEE INDUSTRY APPLICATION SOCIETY (IEEE-IAS). On this occasion, on the 12th of August, 2024. An event was organized that began with CWC installation and was followed by a distinguished lecture talk on “Advances in Electric and Hybrid Electric Vehicles” under the IEEE IAS Banner. Our inaugural guest was Prof. Shib Sankar Saha (Chair, IEEE IAS KOLKATA SECTION), and the Distinguished Lecturer will be Prof. Sujit K Biswas (SMIEEE, former chair IEEE IAS) at the CII auditorium, IEM MANAGEMENT HOUSE.

Seminar featuring distinguished experts from Technology, Environment, Communication, and Data Science fields on 23rd august, 2024 at Seminar Hall, Science City. 4th International Conference on Recent Innovations in Energy Management and Renewable Resources (IEMRE 2024) which will be organized by EE & EEE Dept., Institute of Engineering & Management, Kolkata, India from 20th to 22nd Sept., 2024 in hybrid mode. Blog Writing Competition using Canva was organized by CommuniKreate, the language and communication club, Department of Business Administration at IEM Kolkata. The event, held on August 9, 2024. An impressive participation of over 150 blogs from students. Awards were given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, along with a Best Creative Expression Award.

The 2-day Management Development Program (MDP) on "Conflict Management" concluded on August 9th, 2024, with a Valedictory session and a group photo at IEM Management House. Participants gained valuable insights into strategies for effectively resolving workplace conflicts. They also learned techniques for managing and mitigating conflicts to maintain a productive and harmonious work environment while minimizing potential disruptions.
