The Creative Writing & Drawing Competition, celebrating Independence Day 2024, was successfully held on August 14, 2024, from 04:10 PM to 04:50 PM at Satya Sai Auditorium by Department of IT, CSE (IOTCSBT), and CSE (IOT). The event, organized by the Department of IT, CSE (IOTCSBT) & CSE (IOT), showcased the artistic and literary talents of the students. Creative Writing: Participants crafted essays, and short stories centered around the theme of Independence Day, reflecting their personal perspectives and creativity. Drawing: Students created drawings and illustrations that symbolized Independence Day, capturing the essence of freedom and patriotism through visual art. The event concluded successfully, with students displaying commendable creativity and expression in both writing and drawing categories.

On 16th August, 2024, IEM-UEM Group had organized one AFERO. The IEM Department of Management was proud to organize the event to celebrate the spirit and vigor of independence through the words of GP CAPT SIDDHARTHA MONDAL (RETD) of Indian Air Force (IAF) on "Team Building and Leadership" on August 16, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the CII Auditorium, IEM Management House.

The MBA 1st year students at Management House (an initiative of the Creative Club of IEM College of Management) commemorate independent thinking with a Wall Magazine on “Azadi” as we Indians celebrate 78th year of Independence from the atrocities of British Raj.

On 12th August, the induction program of IEEE-IAS chapter was held in CII auditorium of IEM management building. We had Professor Dr. Sujit K. Biswas with us as our esteemed guest to talk on the one day seminar on Advances in electric and hybrid electric vehicles co sponsored by IEEE INDUSTRY APPLICATION SOCIETY (IAS) SBC. Starting of with the introduction of our society (IEEE IAS SBC) we moved on with the inauguration ceremony of our core working committee (CWC) members. The reveal was done by our esteemed guest and the HOD of EE department, Prof. Dr. Subhajit Kar. Along with HOD of EE department and our esteemed guest we had our IEEE SB Co-ordinator of IEM, Prof. Mili Sarkar with us. The seminar session which was being continued after the inauguration ceremony mainly focused on how it is beneficial to the upcoming generation, how it is utilised and what is the concept behind it.

IEM Institute of Fundamental Research (IIFR) in association with the Department of Basic Science and Humanities has organized a two days hackathon Blueprints of Tomorrow: Industry 5.0 Idea Challenge Hackathon on 8th and 9th August, 2024 at IEM Management House exclusively for B. tech 1st year students. The program as around 150 teams (900 students) have participated in the preliminary screening round with their innovative ideas. Out of them the top 25 teams were selected to present their idea on the day of the event.
