Department of Basic Science & Humanities, IEM Kolkata has successfully organized an industrial visit at Vikram Solar Limited, Falta, West Bengal on 16th March, 2024. Vikram Solar is one of the largest Solar panel manufacturing company in India and they mainly export their products in USA. A group of students from B.Tech. 1st year has visited their plant. HR Manager, Production Head and experts from manufacturing unit have interacted with the students and explained everything very well. We have spent almost 5 hours there. Their hospitality was very good. Students have learnt many interesting things regarding Solar module.

IEM Inter department cricket tournament was held on 25th, 26th and 27th March 2024.

Mechanical department of IEM has organised a Value Added Course on Introduction to Computational Fluid Dynamics on 12th March 2024.

IEM Toastmasters Club in association with the Department of Basic Science and Humanities, IEM Salt Lake Campus has organised a Debate Competition on 14th March 2024 where talented students showcased their exceptional skills and intellect as they engaged in thought-provoking debates that left the audience captivated.Our esteemed panel of judges and moderators added a touch of expertise and insight to the proceedings. We were honored to have Rohini Dasgupta , Alumni, Tech Consultant at PwC India and former President of IEM Toastmasters Club, Rohit Reddy , Alumni, IT Analyst at Johnson Controls and Division Director, District 41 at Toastmasters International, and Dr. Raunak Agarwal , Area Director at Toastmasters International, on board with us to evaluate the performances of our participants. The event was a testament to the dedication and hard work of all the students involved, as well as the support and encouragement from our judges and moderators. It was truly a great opportunity for our students to hone their speaking and critical thinking skills in a competitive setting. IEM Toastmasters Club, which attained the Title of Distinguished Club last year, is always eager to sharpen the Oratory prowess of the students. Here's to many more successful events in the future!

We were thrilled to extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the winners of the Asian Games 2023. Their remarkable achievements have not only brought glory to themselves but have also elevated the pride of the entire nation. The winners were felicitated and given a prize money of INR 1lakh for their unwavering dedication, sacrifice, and discipline that have led them to triumph in the arena of sports. Their achievements not only brought honor to our college but also inspired us to strive for greatness in our respective fields. The award list with respective names has been mentioned aside.

The Art of Living workshop, held for a span of 3 days at IEM Gurukul Campus offered a sanctuary for individuals seeking to delve into the depths of their being, to uncover timeless wisdom, and to cultivate a balanced and fulfilling life. The Art of Living workshop is a holistic program designed to address the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of well-being. Rooted in ancient practices and wisdom traditions, yet adapted to suit the modern lifestyle, this workshop provides practical tools and techniques for self-improvement and personal growth.

Farewell for Batch 2024 will be organised on 22nd March 2024 in Satya Sai Auditorium from 4.15P.M. onwards.Students are requested to come and join the event.

Institute of Engineering & Management (Kolkata) organized the annual Tech - Management fest INNOVACION 2024 from 8th to 10th March 2024 at IEM Management House Campus. More than 35 guests attended the this event to encourage our students. This time we got an enormous numbers of responses from different leading colleges, IITs, NITs, universities from India as well as from abroad. This year INNOVACION consisted of 25+ events from variety of domains like AI, Robotics, Basic Sciences, Cybersecurity, Entrepreneurship, Stock Market etc. INNOVACION 2024 will feature 100+ projects, 90+ technical posters, 7 hackathons on Generative AI, UI/UX, Online and Offline Coding, Web-App-Software development, Ethical Hacking, 3 Olympiads, Hell in a Cell, AR-VR imersive experience and various gaming events.
