The Faculty Development Program, "Exploring Data Horizons: Application in Data Science," seeks to elevate participants' expertise by providing a deep dive into data science principles, tools, and emerging trends. Focused on skill enhancement, the program imparts hands-on training in data analysis, machine learning, and visualization. Its objective is to enable faculty members to seamlessly integrate data science concepts into their teaching methodologies, adapt to industry trends, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration. Mohamed Rawidean is the regional coordinator of the IEEE Computer Society. He has worked for 29 years in MIMOS (Malaysian Institute of Microelectronic Systems), the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation Malaysia. He wanted to have a session with the IEEE Computer Society IEM Chapter students and teachers. He gave his insights on how the chapters can grow in the global platform. The day was wrapped up with his presentation on the different events planned by the region 10 committee for the upcoming year.

IEM won the SMART INDIA hackathon 2023.Team Geek6, under the leadership of Aritra Ghosh, and consisting of members Sarnabh Haldar, Anoushka Sen, Aveepsa Sarkar, Arunima Patra, and Abhidipan Jana won the Smart India Hackathon 2023 in Smart Automation (Student Innovation) track hosted at Sreenidhi Institute of Science & Technology, Hyderabad.

Fifteen August is a red letter day in the history of India. On this day in 1947, our country became free from the long imprisonment of British rule. Since 1947, the fifteenth of August has been celebrated every year with great joy and pride. It reminds us of the great struggle for our freedom from the British rule. The great sacrifice of our freedom fighters is remembered, which serves as a beacon light for the development of this great country. like every year this year IEM celebrated Independence Day on his own campus with students and faculty members. Prof. Gora Chakrabarty lifted the flag and after that, he gave a small speech about this great day. Then Prof. Dr. Kamakhya Prasad Ghatak gave a small speech about the brave soldiers. After that sweet was distributed among the students and faculty members.

IEM BBA department organized a 3-day Hackathon program named Hackathon 2023. Participants from different departments have participated in this event. The program was inaugurated on 29th September 2023 by Prof. Dr. Satyajit Chakrabarti, president of the IEM and UEM group. Then Dr. Lalit Garg, Associate Professor at, University of Malta delivered his talk. After that first Day Hackathon program was started and continued till 8pm. On 30th September Prof. Dr. Susanta Chakrabarty from IIEST Shibpur delivered his insightful thoughts to the attendees and the hackathon program was continued till 7 pm. On 25th August 2023 IEM celebrated Fresher welcome at Satya Sai Auditorium from 4pm. The day was celebrated by Singing Dancing performances etc. All the first-year students enjoyed it very much.

IEM-IETE Students' Forum in collaboration with the Department of CSE (IoT), CSE (IoTCSBT), and IT organized a distinguished lecture on the auspicious occasion of the IEM-IETE Students' Forum foundation day celebration. On 10th August 2023 Dr. Chinmoy Ghorai Assistant Professor of Jadavpur University delivered a lecture on “IoT- Connecting the World in a Smarter Way".It was an interactive session. ASME IEM Student Section firmly believes in upholding the values of hygiene and cleanliness. The committee has decided to make a positive impact on our surroundings and instill a sense of responsibility towards the environment. On the 2nd October 2023 committee planned a Cleanliness Drive program, an event that has become a tradition and a testament to our dedication to a cleaner and healthier world. Department of Basic Science and Humanities in association with International Lions Club Kolkata of IEM has organized one session on *Chair Yoga* on 25th April 2023 at 3 pm in the CII auditorium, IEM Management house. The session was taken by Nidhi Banka who is Master’s (MSc) in Yoga & Diploma in Nutrition and Health Education. It was a very relaxing and wonderful session enjoyed by our faculty members.
