FDP on Recent Advancement on Control & Instrumentation (10th July - 14th July 2023) organized by Department of Electrical Engineering, IEM Kolkata. The event was Technically Co-Sponsored by IEEE Joint CSS-IMS Kolkata Chapter.

An online FDP on Understanding MATLAB was organised by HRDC IEM on 5th Auguest 2022 and it will continue for 5day.The objective of this program was to discuss about the use of MATLAB in different research domains. The speakers delivered the talk mainly on the use of MATLAB in Machine Learning and Image Processing. Next, they demonstrated the efficacy of MATLAB by hands on session.

Faculty Development Program was organised by HRDC of IEM on Augmented Reality & Virtual Reality. The FDp was started from 19th september 2022 and it was continued for 5day.This program aimed to train high-potential faculty members in the domain of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). This FDP targeted the following fields: Connection between machine learning, deep learning and data science, introduction to AR-VR with industry level applications, Drone automation and image processing applications in respect to industry application. The speakers conducted hands on sessions also.

5 days Faculty development program was organised from 9th october 2023 to 13th october 2023 by HRDC IEM.This program aimed to train high-potential faculty members in Industry 6.0. The speakers discussed on the six aspects: Industrial IoT, Applications of AI, Essence of Blockchain Technology, Robotics & Autonomous Systems, Quantum Computing and AR & VR. The resource persons showed some of live projects on drone automation, AR & VR, offline language translator, etc.

Teacher’s Day is a day that is celebrated all over the country on 5th of September. It is a day celebrated to show the teachers our appreciation towards them and acknowledge their hard work. Students should respect their teachers, and Teacher’s Day is the perfect occasion to show a teacher how much they appreciate them. On 5th September 2023, IEM celebrated Teachers' Day at Satya Sai Auditorium from 4.15 pm. Students from different departments have participated in this event. The event started with the welcome speech of a 4th year student. After that president of IEM Prof. Dr. Satyajit Chakrabarti gave his valuable speech on Teacher’s Day. After that Principal of IEM gave his valuable speech. Then a cake-cutting ceremony was held which was arranged by the students. Next students from the 3rd year sang a chorus song. Then one by one students gave their performances to celebrate the event. The day was celebrated by dancing and singing. A well day spent by all. [gallery size="medium" ids="13785,13786,13787"]

A department table tennis tournament was organized on 27 September 2023 at IEM Management house.The winners of the tournament were Saswata Mondal and Ambarish Sengupta from second year B.Tech. It was a historical moment when Chandrayaan-3 launched by ISRO, landed on MOON. The soft landing of Chandrayaan-3 is a monumental moment that not only fuels curiosity but also sparks a passion for exploration within the minds of our youth. On the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 in MOON Prof. Dr. Satyajit Chakrabarti, President of IEM, UEM group distributed sweets among all the faculty members and students. Saraswati Puja is celebrated across the globe by the Hindus. This festival is also known by the name of Sripanchami festival and is observed on the fifth day of the spring festival on a full moon day in the month of Magh (January-February). This year Saraswati puja was celebrated on 26th January 2023.IEM also celebrated this event with the students.Faculty members and Students came to college in the morning and arranged everything for the worship of Goddess Saraswati.
