IEM under UEM Kolkata has received the Outstanding B-school of Excellence 2023 rating from Competition Success Review.

Prof. Gunjan Kumar, faculty from the IEM Mechanical department has received the National Faculty Appreciation award by ISHRAE for the society year 2023- 2024. This one is the 5th National Award in the last two years.

An Online International Faculty Development Program on “Frontier Applications of Discriminative and Generative AI in Healthcare, IoT, and Data Engineering” will be organized by the IEM Centre of Excellence for Data Science & Dept. of CSE(AIML), CSBS, IEM Kolkata, UEM. Department of BBA, Institute of Engineering & Management, organized a workshop on Lending Operations (NBFC and Bank) on October 17, 2023. Mr. Sudipta Ghosh of Yes Bank addressed the students of BBA 3rd Year Finance Specialization (Session 2021-24) about the process of Lending and its prerequisites. IEM BBA department has organized a workshop on Entrepreneurship for BBA students of college. Mr. Subhabrata Bhattacharjee, who was the guest faculty of the workshop, came and encouraged the students. IEM celebrated the Veer Bhogya Vasundhara event to esteem individuals who have dedicated themselves for serving our nation. The guest of the event was Shri Raj Kamal who was the 2nd in Command (Communications) BSF, South Bengal Frontier, Shri Dip Das, Assistant Commissioner of Police (South Bidhannagar), and Shri Aniruddha Chatterjee ,inspector in Charge, Electronic Complex Police Station. Their participation exemplifies the unity and collective spirit that continues to define our nation. Their commitment to our security and well-being is a testament to the values that we hold dear. On 18th August 2023, IEM felicitated the guest for their contribution to the Nation. On that evening all members of IEM along with students gathered in Satya Sai Auditorium at 4 PM. The intent of this FDP is to train high-potential faculty members to develop the case writing culture as part of management teaching pedagogy. The FDP has outlined the importance of case writing as a pedagogical approach for active learning. Participants learn the theory behind developing a good case study and the guiding principles to write case studies. By the end of the workshop, participants are expected to build a strong foundation for developing their own cases. This is thus a great opportunity to develop valuable writing skills. By inspiring faculty members to write and use their own cases, this FDP will also assist in improving their management teaching aspects. The FDP includes tips on how to write a case effectively.
