Rotary Club of Salt Lake Silicon Valley, Lion's Club of Kolkata, IEM & Inner Wheel Club of IEM Kolkata in association with Institute of Engineering & Management, Salt Lake (School of UEM Kolkata) organized a Tree plantation program on 6th August, 2024 at Kulberia ground, Newtown. A group of B.Tech. 1st year students have planted more than 100 trees there. This program aimed to enhance environmental sustainability.

Debate competition organised by Words of Life,the social & literary club of BCA department on 06.08.2024. Topic was on "Whether increasing the reservation quota for SC, ST, OBC, and EWS categories is essential to address ongoing socio-economic disparities in India".

One day industry visit to Tractors India Limited (TIL), Kamarhati, Kolkata, has been organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering (EE) and Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) of IEM Kolkata on 19.07.2024. It has provided students with a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems and automation in heavy machinery manufacturing. Its included a factory tour showcasing assembly processes and quality control measures, technical sessions on motor control and PLC programming, and interactive discussions with TIL engineers. This exposure may bridged theoretical knowledge with practical applications, enriching students' learning and equipping them for future careers in electrical engineering and electronics domain.
