IOCT 2023 - International Circuit Theory Olympiad was organized on 24th September 2023 in virtual mode. This remarkable event witnessed the participation of 263 brilliant minds, including 31 talented individuals from various countries outside of India. A special thanks goes to Mr. S Kiran from Codechef, whose invaluable efforts and expertise ensured that IOCT 2023 was the first-ever Olympiad in our country, focusing on a non-coding and non-mathematics domain, conducted through the renowned Codechef platform.

IEM ECE department has organized a Workshop named SYTRON 2023. It started on 23rd September 2023 and it continued till 30th September 2023. The guest faculty at the inauguration session was Prof AK Basu from Calcutta University, Prof. Iti Saha Misra from Jadavpur University, Asok Bandyopadhyay, Joint Director, CDAC, Kolkata, Avro Basu, senior associate of PWC acceleration center and Preet Yadav from IEEE CAS region 10. Different event were organized and participants from several institutes came and participated in the event. The event continued on 30th September 2023, with a prize distribution ceremony.

The BBA department of IEM organized Campus to Campus Green Walk, on 27th September 2023. It was an awareness program organized to create awareness about the environment among the peoples. Students of the BBA Department informed people by putting up a green campaign with posters giving significant messages about the growing rate of pollution, global warming, and other issues. All the students walked from the IEM Ashram building to the IEM Management House and then again came back to the IEM Ashram Building.

IEM BBA department organized a 3-day Hackathon program named Hackathon 2023. Participants from different departments have participated in this event. The program was inaugurated on 29th September 2023 by Prof. Dr. Satyajit Chakrabarti, president of the IEM and UEM group. Then Dr. Lalit Garg, Associate Professor at, University of Malta delivered his talk. After that first Day Hackathon program was started and continued till 8pm. On 30th September Prof. Dr. Susanta Chakrabarty from IIEST Shibpur delivered his insightful thoughts to the attendees and the hackathon program was continued till 7 pm. After that closing and award distribution ceremony was organized for participants.

Continuing from the outstanding success of IEEE CCWC 2023, we are very proud to present CCWC 2024 which will provide an opportunity for researchers, educators and students to discuss and exchange ideas on issues, trends, and developments in Computing and Communication. The conference aims to bring together scholars from different disciplinary backgrounds to emphasize dissemination of ongoing research in the fields of Computing and Communication. Research papers are invited describing original work in the above mentioned fields and related technologies. The conference will include a peer-reviewed program of technical sessions. The conference committee decided to conduct this year's CCWC as a fully physical conference will be held at University of Nevada, Las Vegas, USA. Visit Conference Website

Continuing from the outstanding success of IEMCON 2022, we are very proud to present IEMCON 2023 which will provide an opportunity for researchers, educators, and students to discuss and exchange ideas on issues, trends, and developments in Information Technology, Electronics, and Mobile Communication. The conference aims to bring together scholars from different backgrounds to emphasize the dissemination of ongoing research in the fields of Computing, Electronics, and Mobile Communication. Research papers are invited describing original work in the above-mentioned fields and related technologies. The conference will include a peer-reviewed program of technical sessions. The Mechanical Engineering Department in association with Basic Science and Humanities organised one training session on 3D Printing on 16.09.23. In this session, participants enjoyed basic information on the Additive Manufacturing process and its different applications. Participants were from different streams. They enjoyed the practical session & and quiz contest. Special thanks to Dr. Kaustav Pradhan, IIEST for interacting with the participants and enriching the program.

On 15th September 2023, Engineers Day was celebrated in IEM with Vivekananda Vigyan Mission. A seminar was organized on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics where an eminent professor from VLCC came and discussed about Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. The event started at 4 pm and continued for 1 hour. Students and professors of IEM have attended the seminar. The guest of seminar was felicitated by a memento.

Teacher’s Day is a day that is celebrated all over the country on 5th of September. It is a day celebrated to show the teachers our appreciation towards them and acknowledge their hard work. Students should respect their teachers, and Teacher’s Day is the perfect occasion to show a teacher how much they appreciate them. On 5th September 2023, IEM celebrated Teachers' Day at Satya Sai Auditorium from 4.15 pm. Students from different departments have participated in this event. The event started with the welcome speech of a 4th year student. After that president of IEM Prof. Dr. Satyajit Chakrabarti gave his valuable speech on Teacher’s Day. After that Principal of IEM gave his valuable speech. Then a cake-cutting ceremony was held which was arranged by the students. Next students from the 3rd year sang a chorus song. Then one by one students gave their performances to celebrate the event. The day was celebrated by dancing and singing. A well day spent by all.
