The SMILE of IEM club organized an Oral Hygiene Camp on March 18th, 2025, to spread awareness about dental health and preventive care. Over 70 participants benefited from free dental checkups, expert consultations, and guidance on maintaining optimal oral hygiene. Special Guest: Dr. Arijit Sarkar (BDS, MDS, FAGE), a renowned Periodontal Surgeon, Laser Surgeon, and Implantologist, shared insights on: Proper brushing techniques, The impact of diet on dental health , The importance of preventive care.

The Green Finance Canvas was held on 18th March 2025 and organized by ArthSamriddhi (Finance Club, BBA, IEM). This unique poster competition aimed to spark creativity and raise awareness about green finance and its role in sustainability. Students from all years showcased handmade posters with powerful messages on green funding, eco-friendly projects, and environmental consciousness. The event not only highlighted artistic talent but also deepened understanding of the intersection between finance and sustainability. The organizers were Prof. (Dr.) Dibyendu Chattaraj, Prof. Ajanta Ghosh, and Prof. Suchandra Bose.

"Cyber Safe: Legal and HR Perspective of Cyber Conduct" Date: 21st March 2025 Organized by: AIKYAM – The HR Club, Department of BBA, IEM The "Cyber Safe" workshop shed light on the legal and HR aspects of cyber conduct, offering crucial insights into navigating the digital world safely. Adv. Manaswita De discussed the fine line between freedom of expression and criminal offenses, ongoing cybercrime cases, and practical advice for handling cyber threats. Key takeaways included understanding the legal implications of online behavior, protecting oneself from cyber risks, exploring workplace cyber conduct, and learning actionable steps to address cybercrime.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, IEM Kolkata & UEM Kolkata, in association with HRDC IEM UEM Group, is organizing a 5-Day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "Future of Grid Operations: Real-Time Insights Through Smart Meters and WAMS" from 1st to 5th April 2025, 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at IEM Management House, Salt Lake (Hybrid Mode). The program aims to deepen understanding of smart grids, enhance skills in smart meter data and WAMS for real-time grid management, and explore future challenges in smart grid technologies. Esteemed speakers include Prof. Dr. Parimal Acharya (NIT Durgapur), Prof. Dr. Biman Kumar Saha Roy (NIT Durgapur), Prof. Dr. Surajit Sannigrahi (NIT Rajpur), Prof. Dr. Biswarup Ganguly (NIT Silchar), and Dr. Mehebub Alam (Damodar Valley Corporation, Kolkata).

The Department of Electrical Engineering, IEM Kolkata, and the IEEE IAS Student Branch Chapter organized a distinguished online lecture on "Current Status and Prospects in Nanotechnology Industry" on 21st March 2025 at 4:15 PM IST. The session featured Prof. Young Chul Choi from the Dept. of Advanced Materials and Chemical Engineering, Jeonju University, South Korea, who shared valuable insights into the evolving landscape of nanotechnology and its future prospects.

Proud moment for IEM Badminton Team! Out of 16 strong teams at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad Parakram 2025 (March 21-23), including national-level squads, our team emerged as the Champions! It was a tough competition, but our players displayed incredible skill and determination. Special credit to our Captain Anand Mani , who led the team to victory, and Ahana Dhar , whose brilliant performance ensured success for the team.

Aheli Majumdar, 3rd Year, ECE student won the I2OR International Young Woman Achiever in Academia Award 2025 on 8th March 2025 (International Women’s Day), presented by the International Institute of Organized Research (I2OR), a registered MSME under the Government of India.
