World Earth Day is commemorated worldwide to raise awareness about the ever-increasing global warming, freely discuss the adverse effects it has on our day-to-day lives, and educate everyone on how to prevent and repair the damage that has already been done. Every year on 22nd April World Earth Day is celebrated across the world. On this special day, IEM takes an initiative for the Go Green Campus where some indoor plants are distributed among the faculty members. It was also decided that faculty members should take care of these plants in their own cubical and will make green campus.

We're thrilled to announce that Dr. Indranil Maity, a faculty member of our ECE department, has been selected for the prestigious IRSD Distinguished Young Scientist Award 2024. The event is jointly organized by Green ThinkerZ, India & International Institute of organized Research (I2OR), India; in association with Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, India; IIT Bombay Spoken Tutorial, India; Centre for Modern Construction, Western Sydney University, Australia; Microsoft Flip; Wakelet; Sustainable Cosmos; Elsevier’s Mendeley and The Intelligent Indian. The award will be given on 30th May, 2024.

IEM in association with Inner Wheel Club has distributed 100 umbrellas to the traffic Polices of the Lake Town Police station, Kolkata. It was a great initiative taken by IEM so that the traffic police could get some relief in this scorching summer heat. On 25th April 2024, they came to IEM and Prof. Gopa Goswami, Director of Corporate Relations of IEM Kolkata, along with Prof Dr. Arun Kumar Bar, Principal of IEM Kolkata and members of Inner Wheel Club distributed 100 umbrellas to the traffic Police. The whole program was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sanghamitra Poddar, Dean of Student Affairs and Alumni Relations.

ISHRAE Chapter in association with Solar Decathlon India and IEM has organised an event on 12th April 2024 in IEM Management house campus.Few glimpses of the event are attached here.
