The Director of IEM, Prof. Dr. Satyajit Chakrabarti, delivered a Plenary talk on Emerging Future Technologies and Innovation, at the NASTECH 2023 flagship conference of NASSCOM, the Association of Software Companies in India. In this program Dr. Chakrabarti has talked about the 1000 start-ups programme of IEM-UEM to create 1000 startups in the next 5 years, the syllabus alignment with Generative AI in IEM and UEM, and the product development of Generative AI products, Robotic Product Automation, IOT and Cybersecurity products.

Department of BCA in association with HRDC of IEM will organize a Faculty Development Program on Journey into Computing's Future: Technology, Research & Innovation from 18th December 2023 to 22nd December 2023. Team IEM has won the AICTE Inventor's challenge 2023. The project idea was to " Low cost 3d printed prosthetic arm for medical rehabilitation". Trisha Paul was Team Mentor and Nirban Roy, Md. Mustafa Abdullah, Tuhin Karmakar are the students representative from IEM .
