Prof Dr. K. P. Ghatak is one of the most renowned professor of the country at the moment. He has infinite number of research papers with several books published in Springer. Grand farewell was given to the passing out students of IEM. The "Engineer's Ring" were presented to the students, and the students took the engineer's oath.

Placement happens quite often at the University of Engineering & Management Jaipur second and current passout batch. Last day there was a campus placement of Jumio India Pvt Ltd, where 18 offers were made. Till now, in UEM Jaipur there have been 284 job offers as against the total number of 257 students opting for placement. In IEM-UEM group totally there have been 677 job offers as against 665 eligible students for placement. There are several more companies to come within coming 2-3 months.

Study tour, foreign programs, teachers and students exchange with foreign universities are often held in IEM.

4th ASSE India Chapter Professional Development Conference 2016 was held at the IEM campus in association of IEM and ASSE (American Society of Safety Engineers). IEM current batch passing out students Soham Banerjee, Shreya Paramanik and Manu Narsaria have opened their own company called Renderbit Technologies. The company has been awarded one amongst the first 25 startups in the prestigious TATA First Dot National Competition. This year there have been 25 campus status by the IEM, which is a rare in any other Institute or University all across the country.
