*Inner Wheel Club of IEM Kolkata* participated in the Aurelia Officers' Training Program from 3pm-6pm where discussions on social responsibility, corporate responsibility, corporate branding, charity working for COVID 19, and future Club activities. IW IEM KOLKATA is a new club and this was our first international-national training program.  

India is the land of festivals. Makar Sankranti is one of the important festivals of Hindu religion that we celebrate with great joy and happiness. The festival is celebrated every year on 14 or 15 January depending upon the solar cycle. The word Makar Sankranti derives from two words Makar and Sankranti. Makar means Capricorn and Sankranti means transition, which makes Makar Sankranti mean the transition of the sun in the Capricorn (Zodiac sign). It's a festival of togetherness and delicacies. Different part of our country celebrates this festival differently and calls it with different names. Also, the custom of each and every region is different and each region celebrates it with their respective customs. But, the ultimate aim of the festival remains the same throughout the country that is spreading, prosperity togetherness and joy. So, Here’s wishing you the warmth of the bonfire, the sweetness of til laddo and May the Sun God shower you with his choicest blessings. IEM and UEM members donated basic necessity items to victims whose houses were burnt by fire in Kolkata

Today i.e. 9th August 2018, ISHRAE IEM student chapter with help of ISHRAE Kolkata is hosting the new CWC installation with two technical talk based on electrical and mechanical for society year 2018-19. We shall also dedicate 1st technical article series to our members in name of our most loved professor, B.B. Ghosh as, " B B Ghosh memorial HVAC article series".

On 9th November, 2019, 2nd edition of 3D Printing Olympiad (3DPO) - 2019 and International Symposium on 3D Printing Technology (IS3DPT) - 2019 was convened at Management House, IEM, Kolkata. It was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Institute of Engineering & Management jointly with University of Engineering & Management. 2nd 3D PRINTING OLYMPIAD – 2019 In 3D Printing Olympiad competition, there were participants from different institutions like NIT Silchar, NIT Agartala, IIT Bhubaneswar and IIT Guwahati, NIT Durgapur, IIIT Allahabad, different engineering colleges from Andhra Pradesh, IIEST Shibpur, Jadavpur University, different engineering colleges from Kolkata, West Bengal alongwith our IEM-UEM(K). Out of 41 (3D Printable files), 27 files were sent to our judges (Prof.(Dr.) Subhasis Bhaumik, IIEST Shibpur, Prof.(Dr.) Probir Kumar Bose, Former Director NIT Agartala). Result was declared on 9th November, 2019, at end of 3DPO - 2019 & IS3DPT-2019 event. Total USD 800 was presented as prize money to the winners of 3D Printing Olympiad-2019.

Dean Prof. Arun Kumar Bar, HOD BSH Prof. Prabir Kumar Das and Asst HOD EE Prof. Somanth welcome all guests digitally including various faculty members of ME, EE and EEE. Unique event Urjamaan 2020(online mode of cultural event like singing, Dancing, Sketching, photography, Instrument playing, video making, poetry and 3 Minutes Tech Talk) result declared and received great appreciation by all guests as it witnessed mesmerising performances and rarest talents of IEM students.
