ISHRAE IEM student chapter member after a past successful aQuest hattrick, one more time entered in aQuest Final as they had won the semifinals at Chennai executed between East and South zone. Winner Team received Rs. 25,000 as cash prize and will take stage in Mumbai during Acrex 2019. IEM other two wild card entry team, also got selected in final playing six team of semifinal and won 3rd prize with Rs. 10, 000 cash. [gallery columns="2" ids="5788,5789,5790,5791"]

Prof. Dr. Saswati Barman of BSH Department of Institute of Engineering & Management (IEM), Kolkata has received the outstanding presentation award for her poster entitled magnetic flux closure structure based logic gate and switches at the International conference on complex and functional materials (ICCFM 2018).

ISHRAE IEM student chapter successfully score one more hattrick in series of aQuest- quiz, ISPG- project and now RACON hattrick - HVAC design challenge 2016, 2017 and 2018 with 1 lakh cash prize by winning all three award 1st- Rs 50,000, 2nd- Rs 30, 000 and 3rd- Rs 20,000 in RACON 2018. It is rarest for any student chapter of ISHRAE across nation. This shows our competency, commitment, endless pain with determined head & hard work.  

The prestigious Dewang Mehta National Education award 2018 conferred to Institute of Engineering & Management (IEM) and University of Engineering & Management (UEM) for "Outstanding Engineering Institute" and "Outstanding Management Institute" categories respectively at Taj lands end,Mumbai. Pratyush Das, CSE 2nd Year of Institute of Engineering & Management (IEM) was selected as the only student in the world to be awarded with the Diana hep Fellowship to work at Fermi National Accelerator Lab at USA. He had worked under the able supervision of Dr. Jim Pivarski of Princeton University, USA. He is a Visiting Scientist at CERN. He also had an opportunity to visit MIT, USA for his research discussion. Also, he visited Bosnia for giving a talk at the root conference.

Md. Zaman Khan and Dibyendu Mandal of Institute of Engineering & Management (IEM), were awarded as winners of ASME FUTURE ME photographic contest. Award and gifts were sent directly from ASME New York office. Gift hamper includes 25 dollar Amazon gift Boucher, Power bank, Water bottle, solar torch, pendrive etc. This was an international photographic contest organised by ASME FUTURE ME. Rajdeep and team completed Mechanical 4th yr project through ISHRAE  ISPG fund support. 1st team of 4th year mechanical  to get any  external fund. Hope future batch will take motivation from this  and explore such option of external funding of project. [gallery columns="2" ids="5306,5307"]

Abir Suvra Sarkar is the winner, Samu Paul is the 1st Runner up and Mir Ahmad Reja is the 2nd Runner up for the IEM Chess League 2018 which was held at Institute of Engineering & Management (IEM) on 5th May 2018. [gallery ids="5283,5286,5285,5284,5287"]
