On 12th September 2020 student members of ‘Society of data science(S4DS)- IEM student chapter’ had attended an online interactive sessions from 11am-1:20pm.
Topic:Basics of Python(In today’s session he discussed the concepts of functional programming in python, Object oriented programming in python and the concept of abstraction).It was the continuation of previous week’s lecture session on “Python”.
Speaker:Dr. Amol Goje
Amol C. Goje has served as a Director, VIIT, Baramati, Pune for last 19 Years.
He has a total of over Twenty Five years of experience in the field of Information and Computer Technology (ICT). Dr. Amol’s main area of interest is to work for underprivileged people in the rural part of India and his noteworthy innovation is Computer Mobile Van, which are economically sustainable to the rural schools and colleges. He has done lot of research work in Information Technology and its application for rural community.He is key player in setting up the Community Training and Learning Centers (CTLC) in Maharashtra, to provide Computer Training to the women from the Self Help groups (SHG).He was also a member of the Planning Commission, Government of India in Information Technology division
Dr. Amol has received
(i)Ashoka Fellow award in the year 2002.
(ii)Marathwada Bhushan Award for spreading the IT education to the masses.
(iii)Manthan (AIF) award successively for two years in Year 2005 and 2006.
(iv)“Maharashtra IT award (IT HRD) in 2008.
(v)President of Community Radio Association (CRA) of India.
