Nobel lecture series 2

On 15th November 2022, IEM in association with UEM organized a Nobel lecture series in online mode. Prof. Takaaki Kajita was the speaker of this session. Prof. Takaaki Kajita is a Japanese physicist who was awarded the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physics for discovering the oscillations of neutrinos from one flavor to another, which proved that those subatomic particles have mass. He shared the prize with Canadian physicist Arthur B. McDonald. About 10,000 students and many faculty members participated in this talk and through the online platform. The session was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Satyajit Chakrabarti, President Of the IEM & UEM group. After that Prof. Kajita delivered his lecture. At the end of the session Prof. Dr. Satyajit Chakrabarti, director of the IEM & UEM group facilitated him with a plaque. The session ended with a Vote of Thanks.
