The Department of Basic Science and Humanities of Institute of Engineering & Management (IEM), Kolkata is organizing a Five Day Language Fest in celebration of the variety and diversity of languages available to a cosmopolitan populace, and to honour the International Mother Language Day on 21st February 2019. This Language Fest is attempting to cherish the various ways in which different languages have evolved, ways languages may be appreciated, and the multifaceted uses of languages.
Through different events and performances, this Language Fest will try to put forward the conventional and unconventional methods of language use and sustenance.
These events will bring out the flavours and the many ways in which languages can be appreciated at various levels.

19. 02. 2019 Day 2: “Speak your Heart Out” (Extempore Competition) and “Researchers’ Fair” (Paper Presentation Competition)
20. 02. 2019 Day 3: VideoScribe (Video making Competition) and Utter-Chatter (Spell Bee Competition)
21. 02. 2019 Day 4: “As You Like It” (Skit Competition) and “Great Minds Discuss” (GD Competition)
22. 02. 2019 Day 5: Inter-Language Celebration
