IEM IEDC Project Series

The Covid Crisis in 2020 taught us the importance of early detection and that proper diagnosis of a disease is the best way to fight it. Keeping the importance of timely diagnosis in mind, Sayan Ghosh and Subham Kundu have come up with the idea of an IMedBox, an open platform based “Intelligent Medical Box” for real time monitoring of health status.
The IMedBox can be equipped in a PCO Box, with a variety of sensors incorporated in it to obtain an accurate reading of various body parameters, that include BMR, pulse rate, etc.
After immediate analysis of the reports, an alert is sent to the patient in the form of call or message. The doctor is contacted using GSM and the diagnosis is carried out based on abnormal readings of the body parameters. Prescribed medicines are handed to the patient, thus providing immediate relief.
The PCO booths being available in every locality, it can easily be reached out to, during emergency situations and also for regular health checkups, thus meeting the scarcity of medical facilities during the Covid crisis.
