IEM E-Cell Entrepreneurship Series: Story no 4

IEM E-Cell Entrepreneurship Series:

#Story no-4:

Recycling and sustainibility are the way forward for a greener, conscious, healthier lifestyle and overall wellbeing. So, we sat down with the team of Wealth Waste, an innovative startup founded by some students of IEM. Read on to find out their ideology and inspiration behind this fast rising company.

“Do you really think that plastic is being conserved extensively? Have you taken any step to reduce the usage of plastics? The plastic flowing into the oceans and lakes fill up the land fills and has become a global threat. Here we come into the picture. This venture was started with an idea to minimise the plastic usage and gift a new life to our Mother Earth.

Our products are made from recycled materials and are almost fully biodegradable. We use recycled materials ( i.e. paper, cardboard etc) to manufacture our products, thus increasing and promoting the re usability of waste.

In the future, we have to find a way to manage our natural resources, we start now. We are trying to make some use of our waste paper and drive change for the good. Our products are made of Eco friendly materials and the usage of plastics has been minimised and we obtain our materials from recycled wastes. The products are completely biodegradable.

Our venture has come a long way. We completed one year in May, and in this time we had many achievements. We represented our venture at Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, Smart Maker Faire , India International Science Festival and others.

We also have received many honours and awards, especially one from the PM Office. On National Science day 2020, we were also invited to MKH Sancheti School Nagpur to be the judges at their science model exhibition.

In the COVID-19 situation we continued to promote awareness via our social handles and also collected donations and distributed rations to the more less privileged sections of the society.

We believe in making a change for the good, and envision a green future and a better world.

Waste is Innovation, is our motto.”

We commend these students for their extraordinary feats and work, and are glad to count them as our members. We wish for them to achieve all their aspirations and continue to make us ever prouder to be associated with them.
