IEM E-Cell ENTREPRENEURSHIP SERIES

IEM E-Cell ENTREPRENEURSHIP SERIES

#Story no- 3

Being an IEMian, you must have seen the viral Innovacion 2020 app for our annual tech fest. We decided to have a chat with the founders of applex.in, the startup behind it and several other apps you’ve seen go around recently, like SnapLingo (India’s very own Document Text Scanner and OCR reader) and Campus24: Your Virtual Campus (India’s first college oriented social media platform). Below is an account from one of the founders and lead developers of applex.in, Sourajit Basu.

“Our common love and passion for making unique technical projects led us to participate in intra and inter college competitions, where the unexpected appreciation and recognition made us want to take it a step further. The Indian Chamber of Commerce, ICC selected our product as one of the top 30 startups from Eastern India. This led to the creation of applex.in, a small team of beginners united by their common dedication to technology.

The core idea that we wanted to have an outlet for our unique, homegrown initiatives, and further the Make in India agenda, had been in our hearts from the very start, and applex.in has embodied all our ideals.

Currently, we have grown substantially to expand our operations across major cities in India, and involve ourselves in multiple domains such as Native Android development, Native ios development , Hybrid app development , Web Development, Cloud Computing, Graphics Designing and UI/UX Designing. App development being the constant USP of applex.in, we have been able to establish ourselves as a group of trusted developers, even in this highly competitive and constantly evolving market. As of now, besides working on self-funded projects we cater to clients from cities all across India including the IT hubs such as Hyderabad, Bangalore and Pune.

Currently, applex.in employs around 15 full-time working members and a host of interns and part-time employees.

Breaking stereotypes and creating a niche platform is our constant mission, and our journey is just starting. We strongly believe that we have got a lot more to learn, explore, research and reinvent so that someday every smartphone carries an app that ‘splashes’ the name of applex.in.”

We’re proud to have such brilliant, innovative individuals represent our chapter, and hope to see them succeed further in all aspects that they yearn for.
