On the 8th March,2021 Mr. Abhratanu Dutta gave an inspiring speech. He shared his experience – how he learned, gathered knowledge, built up his CV right from his days in IEM as a B.Tech student and then his experience as he worked in Cognizant.
He advised the students to seek feedback from the professors regularly in whatever tasks they perform and to retrospect on that to analyse their strengths and witnesses. Further he talked about strengthening our conversational skills and work on managing stakeholders.
His speech mainly focused on few major aspects:
Have an open mind – Ability to learn, taking initiatives, actively seeking feedback
Expand your horizon – Going beyond your circle of competence, Read, read and read, seeking a mentor’s help
Priority in order – Short-term and long-term goals,
Trust your instincts.
