A Faculty Development Programme on “Outcome Based Education and NBA Accreditation” has been organized by department of ME, Institute of Engineering & Management (IEM), Kolkata, India from 2nd to 6th January 2023. Inauguration Session was started with welcome speech of Principal, IEM Prof. (Dr.) Arun Kumar Bar. Prof. Dr. B K Das Director, IQAC, IIMT University, Meerut given brief lecture on National Board of Accreditation (NBA) preparation, documentation and presentation before peer team visit. Prof. Dr. Rana Saha, Professor of Mechanical Engineering Department, Jadavpur University delivered lecture on understanding outcome based education (OBE) system from the perspective of NBA accreditation. Prof. Dr. Swarnendu Sen, Professor of Mechanical Engineering Department, Jadavpur University delivered lecture on OBE Implementation: Role of The Teacher. Prof. Ajay Tripathi, Professor and Head of Mechanical Engineering Department, Government Engineering College, Raipur delivered lecture on How to face NBA Inspection and present documents. Prof. Dr. Naresh Rakha, advisor to IIT Ropar delivered lecture on Effective Teaching Methods and Passion as Envisaged in NEP. Professor Dr. Janardhanan Gangathulasi, Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the NITTTR, Chennai delivered lecture on Outcome based Education in NBA accreditation. More than 100 no’s of faculty members from different organizations have participated across the nation in the FDP.
