E-bikes are categorized based on the amount of power that its electric motor is capable of producing and the control system, or when and how the motor’s power is applied. Rechargeable batteries, electric motors, and some kinds of control are all included in e-bikes. There are several types of battery systems in use, including sealed lead-acid (SLA), nickel-cadmium (NiCd), nickel-metal hydride (NiMH), and lithium-ion polymer batteries (Li-ion).
