Celebration of Womanhood Day by IEM

On 8th March, 2024 Institute of Engineering and Management, a constituent institution under the University of Engineering and Management in association with Kolkata Nivedita Shakti and IEEE Women in Engineering (IEEE WIE) and IEM Innerwheel club commemorated the exceptional feats of women hailing from varied backgrounds and domains of expertise as they celebrated the International Women’s Day. The atmosphere was charged with excitement and empowerment as women celebrities took center stage sharing their stories of triumph and accomplishments. With each heartfelt speech and candid revelation, they shattered stereotypes and showcased the breadth of women’s achievements across various domains which were meticulously selected and the awards named after historically famous women from Bengal. The award names not only increased the prestige of the awards but also created an awareness among the current generation about the rich heritage of the glorious women from Bengal who not only paved the path of development in the state but were globally recognised for their achievements in their respective fields.
