ARTISAN’S ARCADE
On 23rd September 2024, the Department of Basic Science & Humanities, in collaboration with the Literary Society of IEM, ELTAI Kolkata Chapter, Rotary Club, and Lions Club of Kolkata IEM, organized a crafts competition titled “ARTISAN’S ARCADE” at the IEM Management House. The initiative was part of the English Language Laboratory’s Innovative Project, where first-year students showcased their creations. Following a rigorous selection process, the finest crafts were chosen for the final round of exhibition and competition.
The crafts were displayed for 24 hours, allowing members of IEM UEM, as well as students of Management House, to attend and encourage the participants. Both external and internal judges were invited to assess the crafts. The competition’s theme, “Best out of Waste,” inspired the participants to exhibit remarkable innovation and creativity in their works, which earned them significant appreciation and applause.
