The Department of Mechanical Engineering, IEM Kolkata, organized the International Symposium on Sustainable Waste Management, ISSWM 2023.
The Symposium comprised of 7 keynote speeches, 9 technical sessions, and a field visit.
The event was graced by keynote speakers from India, Italy, Bangladesh, Thailand and Malaysia. Different sessions were chaired by renowned professors from Calcutta University, IIEST Shibpur, CSIR-NEERI, Jadavpur University and CSIR-CGCRI. 60 papers were presented from different universities and institutes such as IISc, IITs, NITs, CSIR-AMPRI, RBU, Presidency University, BITS Pilani, COE Pune, KUET Bangladesh, Osmania University, Tripura Univeristy and BCKV. The conference proceedings are to be published by Springer, Elsevier and the Journal of Solid Waste Technology and Management (Scopus indexed). The Symposium was followed by a technical field visit at Nimpith.
