Description

ME 494: Students of Mechanical Engineering 4th semester batch are taught here basics of AutoCAD. Orthographic and isometric projections of different components assembly and detailed drawings of a mechanical assembly, flange coupling etc are taught using AutoCAD.
ME 693: Students of Mechanical Engineering 6th semester batch are taught here 2-D and 3-D modeling of mechanical components using CAD software. (ME881) – Students of Mechanical engineering 8th semester, forming a group of 4 to 5 students, will have to perform design calculations for an elementary mechanical system including CAD drawings using theoretical information including standards, codes etc and submit report in prescribed format.

Description

ME 191 / 291 :This lab is for teaching theory and drawing board exercisesof Engineering drawing . In this lab, the 1st Year students of all branches of engineering are taught basic theory of lines, curves,principles of projection and development of surfaces.
ME 391 : Theory and drawing board exercises of Welding symbols, pipe joints, Orthographics & Isometric Projection of different Machine Parts, different sectional views, Assembly and detailed drawings of a mechanical assembly, such as a plummer block , stuffing box etc. are taught here for the 2nd year Mechanical Engineering student.
ME 593 : Drawing board exercises compatible with theory course on ME 503 icluding Knuckle/Cotter joint, Riveted
joints, Welded joints, Shaft Couplings etc. are taught here for the 3rd year Mechanical Engineering Student.

Description

This lab deals with the instruments used in Mechanical engineering branch and the instruments are very precision and sensitive.
The instruments include height gauge,depth gauge,dial indicators, Profile Projectors, Thermo couple with Digital Indicators,Sine Bar,Surface Roughness tester,Anemometer and Blower with Air Duct to name some of the instruments. In this lab students learn to use the instuments and take accurate mesurement of different jobs like Thread of a screw, a slot cut inside a metal bar, roughness of surface. Students here get hands on practice on all precision instruments.

Description

It is a part of Mechanical Engineering Dept. where students get to learn about the utilisation of mechanical instruments and tools by which they get the hand on practice of making jobs which are of practical use. Students have five workshop where they get knowledge to produce pattern, familliarisation with fitting process, hands on practice with sheet metal job , also doing welding jobs on arc welding and they also get huge exposure on machine shop by dealing lathe machine and they prepare jobs on shaping machine and also making job on milling machine.
